To Set the DG-ID on a Yaesu FT991A

Press and hold the  GM button on the screen. Now you have to be in the C4FM mode to see this screen button. If you do not see it at the bottom of the screen as shown in the picture to the above left then hit the "F/M-LIST" button to the above right of the screen as well as the "BACK" OR "FWD" screen arrows to get to the screen as shown in the picture on the above right.

The 991A is a little different than the other radios we have looked so far in setting up the DG-ID's. Here we have 10 different lines that we can set up for use to select different repeater combinations. The lines are numbered on the left of the list 00 through 09.

Use the "MULTI" knob to the lower right of the screen to select the different rows of the DG-ID list. Once you have your row high lighted use the screen "SELECT" button to select it. Now use the screen "TX" button to enter the 2 digit number for the repeater combination that you want. After you enter that hit the "TAG" screen button and enter the name that you want to use that will tell you what that repeater combination is.

Go ahead and set up your radio to show the different lines as in the 2 pictures above. Line 06 is hard to see in this picture the TX is "99" and the TAG is "ALL". When done you can select the one you want to use and hit the "BACK" screen button to return to the previous screen.
